Our Plan

At the Washington State Maritime Cooperative (WSMC), we proudly offer Washington's first fully approved oil spill contingency plan that is authorized by the Washington State Department of Ecology and the only 72-hour initial response team.

With over 28 years of experience and a highly skilled team, we not only provide the leading response plan for Washington, we also ensure our members are fully prepared to respond by providing comprehensive drill training aligned with Washington State requirements.

We work closely with local authorities, environmental organizations, and industry experts to ensure the greatest level of protection for Washington's waters and to best provide for our members. This comprehensive approach takes into account the state's environmental sensitivities, maritime history, and the need for a swift and effective response to an oil spill.
